Specialising in stringed instruments, bows and accessories for beginners and students, Andrew Schroetter is a German company that sets high standards. It is our aim to offer you good quality instruments built to our own exacting standards that are both affordable and robust. It is also our aim to offer these at competitive prices, that represents extremely good value, an all-important factor in everyone’s decision making. We have over 170 years of experience in the making of stringed instruments and bows.

Many of our stringed instruments are offered in a variety of sizes so that you are able to select the correct size, this is particularly important for children. Our A-170-V Violin Outfit, for example, comes in sizes 4/4, 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 and 1/16. A 1/16 violin might look tiny to an adult but it will feel perfect to a toddler. Our bows are also offered in a range of sizes so that these too can be purchased in the correct size for the student. Call us if you need any advice about instrument sizes.

Our basic models are perfect for first-time students as they are truly affordable but very playable which is all-important. There is nothing worse than trying to encourage a new student on an instrument that does not play properly. As the student progresses we have further models that they can easily move on to as their playing becomes better and more confident.
